Terms of sale
These terms cover orders placed with Lucky Duck & Swan Provisions through this website, by email or by phone. They are written plainly because that is how we would rather do business.

Two ways to buy
Anyone can buy at the published prices on the order desk and pay by card at checkout. You choose the quantity, the price beside the item is the price per unit, and the total shown is the total charged. That order is an order from the moment it is paid.
Restaurants and wholesale accounts sign in and send a request instead. A request is not yet an order: it sets out the products, the quantities, how you would like to receive them and when, and every figure on it is an estimate.
We confirm each request personally. Confirmation covers availability, exact weights for anything sold by weight, the fulfillment method and date, and the final total. A trade order exists once we have confirmed it and you have accepted the confirmed total.
Weights and prices
On a card order you pay for the quantity you chose, at the price beside the item. We cut or select to that quantity. Nothing is added afterwards.
On a trade order, anything marked as sold by weight is priced per ounce or per pound and charged on the exact weight of the product supplied: the estimate uses the quantity you requested, and the confirmed total uses the scale.
Published volume prices apply to the quantity ordered. Trade pricing, where an account has it, replaces the published price and its volume tiers. Prices are current when read live from this site and may change with the market between visits.
Availability
Seafood availability follows landings, season and the quality of what the market is offering. When a product does not meet our standard we will tell you and offer an alternative or wait, rather than substitute without asking.
Payment
A card order is paid at checkout on a secure page hosted by Stripe, who handle the card. We never see or store your card details, and none of them reach this site.
A trade order is invoiced after confirmation. Payment terms, including any account terms, are stated on the invoice.
Delivery and shipping
Fulfillment is local delivery or overnight shipping packed cold. Nothing is collected in person. On a card order the charge for the one you choose is shown before you pay, and where an option is not priced online we arrange it by phone. On a trade order it is shown on the confirmation and the invoice.
Perishable goods should be refrigerated immediately on receipt. Please make sure someone is available to receive a shipped or delivered order on the confirmed date.
If something is wrong
Inspect your order on receipt and contact us the same day at (203) 645-9466 or luckyduckandswanprovisions@gmail.com with a photograph if you can. We will put it right. Because the product is perishable, we cannot accept returns, but a product that arrives in poor condition is our responsibility and we will replace or credit it.
Changes and cancellations
A request can be changed or withdrawn at any time before confirmation. After confirmation, contact us as early as you can: product cut or packed to your order may not be cancellable.
A card order can be cancelled and refunded in full at any time before it is packed. Call (203) 645-9466 or write to luckyduckandswanprovisions@gmail.com. Once it is cut, packed or on its way it is subject to the same limits, because the product is perishable.
